Cambridge was selected and brought in to the project at the completion of the schematic design phase. Initially Cambridge provided a comprehensive schematic design cost estimate which revealed that the owners budget was low by approximately $5 million. At that time, Cambridge provided a menu of value engineering and scope revisions which allowed the Owner to meet the established budget. Ultimately, the project was competitively bid with all bids received within the approved Cambridge estimate and Owners budget.
During the construction phase, Cambridge maintained full control of the project using its web based project management information system. Significant costs were saved and documented totaling $1.1 million due to our strict cost control.
Cambridge provided full construction management services including preconstruction, construction, and closeout.
